May 21st, 2024 by

Porsche vehicles are rightly known for their performance and power. The new 2024 Porsche Taycan is no different, offering driving an unparalleled driving experience. One of the biggest highlights of the new Taycan is its zero-to-sixty speed. Below, we’ll highlight the acceleration speeds available with each version of the 2024 Porsche Taycan and what you can expect regarding horsepower, torque, and driving range. With this information, you’ll hopefully be able to make a more informed decision about which version is right for you.

Porsche Taycan

The base version of the Porsche Taycan uses a dual motor setup and delivers between 204 and 469 horsepower, depending on the battery size you get. This version also uses a rear-wheel drive, a 2-speed transmission on the rear axle, and 19″ Taycan S Aero Wheels. With this setup, expect the Taycan to go from zero to sixty in about 5.1 seconds while having the capability to reach a top speed of 143 mph. Finally, depending on your battery, you’ll get 200 or 225 miles of driving range.

Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo

Up next is the Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. This version is very similar to the base model, offering up to 469 horsepower. However, with this model, you can expect a zero to sixty speed of 4.8 seconds, making it a little quicker than the base Taycan. This is largely due to the increase in maximum torque, which can go up to 368 lb-ft when you get your Taycan with Launch Control. The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo also offers a similar driving range, averaging around 215 miles per full charge.

Porsche Taycan 4S

After the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, there’s the Taycan 4S, which takes things up to another level. The Taycan 4S gets a boost in horsepower, maxing out at 562 hp if you get the Overboost Power with Launch Control setup. It also provides more torque, reaching a maximum of 479 lb-ft. Thanks to these performance upgrades, expect the Taycan 4S to go from zero to sixty in about 3.8 seconds. Range with the standard battery is a little lower, averaging around 199 miles, but it’s higher with the performance battery plus, coming in at around 227 miles per charge.

Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo

The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is very similar to the 4S in terms of performance. It has the same maximum horsepower and torque ratings at 482 hp/479 lb-ft. The zero to sixty time is also about the same, coming in at 3.9 seconds. As for driving range, the 4S Cross Turismo gets around 215 miles per battery charge, placing it in the middle of the two Taycan 4S options.

Porsche Taycan Turbo

Moving up even further is the Porsche Taycan Turbo, offering another big boost in performance. The Taycan Turbo’s powertrain can deliver up to 670 horsepower and an astounding 626 lb-ft of torque. All of these combine to allow the Taycan Turbo to go from zero to sixty in just 3 seconds. Despite this significant performance boost, the Taycan Turbo still delivers a great driving range, averaging around 212 miles per battery charge.

Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo

Once again, the Turismo version is similar to the previous model. Just like the Taycan Turbo, it tops out at 670 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque. The biggest difference in performance is that the Turbo Cross Turismo gets around 204 miles of driving range, a little less than the Taycan Turbo. The zero-to-sixty speed is also slightly slower, coming in at 3.1 seconds.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S

With the Porsche Taycan Turbo 0-60, you’ll get a boost in the maximum horsepower, going from 670 horsepower to an astounding 750 horsepower. The maximum torque also gets a boost, going from an already impressive 626 lb-ft up to 774 lb-ft. You’ll need to equip your Turbo S with the Launch Control setup to get these stats. Doing so will allow you to get the best zero to sixty times available on the Porsche Taycan, coming in at a lighting-quick 2.6 seconds. You’ll also still get plenty of driving range with the Turbo S, which averages 201 miles per battery charge.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo

Finally, there’s the Porsche Taycan S Cross Turismo. As with the Turbo S, it can deliver up to 750 horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque when you equip it with Launch Control. Getting the Turismo version only impacts the zero to sixty speed a little, still accelerating at a fast 2.7 seconds. The driving range is slightly better with the Turbo S Cross Turismo, which averages 202 miles per charge.

Safety Features of the 2024 Porsche Taycan

No matter which version of the 2024 Porsche Taycan you select, you can expect a wide range of advanced safety features. Standard driver-assistance technology included on each model includes a forward collision warning, a lane-departure warning, a lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking. On some of the higher trims, you’ll also have access to premium safety features such as adaptive cruise control, a remote-controlled parking assist, and even a night vision feature. These features allow you to take full advantage of the Porsche Taycan’s performance while having peace of mind knowing you have the latest technology watching your back.
