The Porsche Macan has always been a standout model, and the new all-electric Macan continues that trend. Utilizing an 800-volt architecture, the powerful electric motor in the Macan is combined with state-of-the-art battery and charge management to deliver signature Porsche E-Performance.

The successor to the successful compact SUV is the sportiest model in its segment, along with best-in-class performance values, long-range capability and high-performance fast charging.

Porsche engineers are poised to create a dynamic, sporty driving experience with fully variable electronically controlled rear differential and “Performance rear axle”, with a powerful electric motor positioned behind it. This allows a rear-dominant all-wheel application across a wide spectrum, which works alongside dynamic torque distribution to create high agility when accelerating out of corners.

All-Electric Porsche Macan Highlights

The all-electric Porsche Macan is slated to output 450 kW with a maximum torque of more than 1,000 Nm. The 800-volt technology is sure to provide consistent high performance and significant reduction in charging time, too.

All electric Macan models feature a lithium-ion battery in the underbody with a total capacity of about 100 kWh. The battery in the future all-electric compact SUV from Porsche features twelve modules with prismatic cells, while the mixing ratio of nickel, cobalt and manganese (8:1:1) helps the battery achieve a higher energy density.

In turn, this projects the all-electric Macan to have a higher charging capacity than the 270 kW of the current Porsche Taycan. A suitably powerful fast-charging station would allow the battery charge level of the Macan to go from five to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes.
